3.3.10 - Don't Miss Comicpalooza on 3/27! I'll be there signing books and stuff. Stop by and say hi!

5.21.09 - Check it out! The Finding Elim collection is finally available. It's printed in a nice cream stock, and hand-bound with a pretty "Sedona Red" cover. Limited books will be available until I get tired of binding, or I send it out to be mass produced. Click here to buy.

1.9.09 - Back from Asheville, and it was a great trip. Check out pictures at my album here.

11.03.08 - If you recently received stickers or a mini-comic, I hope you enjoyed them. I've been busy with a lot of non-comics-related things, so I haven't been able to produce as much as I would like. I'm also taking a break from Finding Elim to consider other formats. Anyway, I always welcome small projects as a diversion, so if you have something in mind, it doesn't hurt to ask.

02.02.08 - Still working on Finding Elim It's been going really well, and has been picked up by a number of churches and one good size publication. Yesterday was February 1st, so that means another comic an hour day. You can see the mind-numbing thrills that make up my day here and a bunch of other artists here.

09.08.07 - Hooray! I finally have my newest comic "Finding Elim" online (working title was Pastor Bob). I plan to promote this comic to churches and Christian sites. Suburbatory had so many references to my church life, that I figured I might as well make a comic with that focus. There are a lot of good Christian comics out there already, but I hope this is one that will be appealing to people on both sides of the stained glass. Let me know what you think!

07.29.07 - Last week we had maggots - ewww! I felt like our house had been invaded. We threw 'em away, and now it's all over ... or is it?

In other news, I got Flight 4, Sorcerers and Secretaries 2, Afterworks 2, and Babysitters Club 2. Flight is anthology series produced by Kazu, and the books get better every year. If anyone doesn't "get" the attraction of comics, they need to stop by the bookstore and check out Flight. Afterworks is another anthology featuring artists from the animation industry, I stumbled on it at Half-Price Books - lucky me!

The last two books are kind girly comics, and I bought them with the intention of reading and then giving them away. Well, sorry to my niece, I decided to keep them. Maybe I'll buy her another copy.!

02.4.07 - I submitted a set of comics today for Hourly Comic Day. You can see mine here and a bunch of other artists here.

01.27.07 - I did a little tweaking on the site today. If you find wierd or broken links, please let me know.

01.24.07 - The mini-mailer "Phil's Big Day" has been sent. It went to a bunch of folks out of my address book, so if you got one but can't figure out who the HECK I am, you probably know me from my day job at InterDirect. If you've decided you want a mini, drop me a line.

01.12.07 -
I'm finishing a new mini that I will be mailing off on 1/24 and anyone who wants can have one GRATIS. Just email your mailing address to me before 1/19. It's just a little thanks to my readers and to other comic creators!

01.07.07 - I have been busy drawing, I just haven't scanned any of it yet. I'm working on a new comic called "Pastor Bob", and it's coming along slowly partly because it's a single-panel format which has been a challenge. And, partly because I have to be careful not to offend my intended audience while maintaining some humor. More about that later...

9.16.06 - I spent a week in the midwest recently and really enjoyed the slow pace of vacationing back home. While I was there, I worked on a small 3 page comic for an anthology that Lucy is putting together. Maybe I'll post it here in the future. By the way, you should really check out her site, she has exactly the kind of uninhibited sense of humor that makes you want to be her friend.

New comic purchases: The COMPLETE "Bone" by Jeff Smith, "Making Comics" by Scott McCloud, and "The Simpsons" season two on DVD. I am soo psyched!
