Welp, it's time for another issue of the Finding Elim newsletter. Things have been busy with life outside of Elim, but I have managed to eek out at least a couple strips a week. If you only read the comic when it comes in this newsletter, there are about 20 new comics posted to the site since then. Check 'em out and tell your pals. Also, remember that Finding Elim is now at Comic Sherpa, which has a feature that allows you to have Finding Elim emailed to you. I also have a Comic Blog that allows you to get the comic via RSS if you're into that kind of thing. Freshest updates will always be at FindingElim.com.
Speaking of blogs, several individuals have posted one or two of my strips, which is cool. If you want to do that let me know so I can try to keep track of readership. Also, watch out for posting the "current.gif" image, as it changes every week - I can help if you're confused ... drop me a line.
Links of the month:
Going retro this issue. First, retro ads and then a new version of an old movie that was never made.
If you like graphic art or you are nostalgic for old advertisements, look at this great collection of retro print ads. Great education for any graphic art major: Bold, fun, engaging, 10 years ago I would have had to pay thirty bucks for a book that had all these great examples.
Next, this video ad is so good, I have to share it. Rather than go on and on, I'll just say: Imagine : Martin Scorsese shooting a movie in Hitchcock style. There are tons of nods to some of Hitch's great works. Sit back and enjoy!
Do you have any good links that you think I should feature? Drop me a line.
Have a great Memorial weekend!!
By the way, if this email was boring and/or you just don't want emails from me, sorry about that! Just reply to this email and tell me to leave you alone.
